Its very difficult for anyone to say who is best for ADSL, but there are a few that stand out from the rest. The question "Who is best" really depends on what you want for your money, do you want a basic service but good support, or a service with no limits, there is so many options to choose from. Here is a few to think about.
Sky Broadband - If you have Sky TV or are thinking about getting Sky TV then you cant really go wrong with there broadband packages, for example if you don't use the internet much then you can get 2Mb connection with a 2Gb a month bandwidth allowance for free, or a 8Mb connection with a 40Gb a month limit for £5 a month, or 16Mb no limits for £10 a month. You get a free router that is preconfigured, so its dead easy to install. To our knowledge we have only heard good reports about installation and customer support.
