Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809)

The latest update to Windows 10 (version 1809) that includes tools like a cloud clipboard and a preliminary version of its phone mirroring software is reported to have resulted in mass file deletion from user directories as well as less alarming issues like incorrect CPU usage in Task Manager or broken audio drivers, and a few other minor issues.

In regards to this issue Microsoft have said “We have paused the rollout of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) for all users as we investigate isolated reports of users missing some files after updating.
