Magento SQL Injection Vulnerability [CVE-2019-7139]

A vulnerability in Magento could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct an SQL Injection attack against a targeted system.The vulnerability is due to the insufficient validation of user supplied input submitted to the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a request that submits malicious input to the targeted system. A successful exploit could allow an attacker to conduct SQL injection attacks that could allow the attacker to access sensitive data and conduct further attacks.Magneto has confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.

  • To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must send a request that submits a malicious input to the affected application on a targeted system. This access requirement may reduce the likelihood of a successful exploit.
