Tildeslash Monit Util_urlDecode Function Buffer Over-Read Vulnerability [CVE-2019-11455]

A vulnerability in Tildeslash Monit could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to access sensitive information or cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on a targeted system. The vulnerability exists in the Util_urlDecode function, as defined in the util.c source code file of the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the GET or POSTparameters on the targeted system. A successful exploit could trigger a buffer over-read condition, which could allow the attacker to access sensitive information or cause a DoS condition on the targeted system.Proof-of-concept (PoC) code that demonstrates an exploit of this vulnerability is publicly available. Tildeslash has confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.
