PostgreSQL EnterpriseDB Windows Installer Bundled OpenSSL Code Execution Vulnerability [CVE-2019-10211]

A vulnerability in PostgreSQL could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary code on a targeted system.

The vulnerability exists because the EnterpriseDB Windows installer bundled with OpenSSL could allow code execution from an unprotected directory. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by creating a directory and injecting a configuration that is designed to direct OpenSSL to load and execute arbitrary code on the targeted system as the user running a PostgreSQL server or client. A successful exploit could be used to conduct further attacks. 

PostgreSQL has confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.
