Apache Commons Beanutils PropertyUtilsBean Class Property Suppression Vulnerability [CVE-2019-10086]

A vulnerability in Apache Commons Beanutils could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to perform unauthorized actions on an affected system.

The vulnerability exists because the affected software fails to suppress the class property in the PropertyUtilsBean class by default. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a request that submits malicious input to the affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to use the class property of Java objects to get access to the classloader, which could be used to conduct further attacks.

Apache has confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.
