Google Chrome VideoFrame Use-After-Free Remote Code Execution Vulnerability (CVE-2024-2886)

CVE number = CVE-2024-2886

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Google Chrome.

User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.

The specific flaw exists within the implementation of the VideoFrame API.

By performing actions in JavaScript, an attacker can cause a pointer to be reused after it has been freed.

An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process at low integrity.
