Three says network is now restored following yesterdays outage
The UK mobile network Three has reported that the issues users faced yesterday are now fully resolved. Yesterday thousands of users reported that they were unable to make or receive calls due to the Three network been down.
The outage, which also affected mobile networks that operate as Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) using the Three network infrastructure such as Smarty and ID Mobile, was first reported on Downdetector at approximately 1:05 PM GMT on January 23rd 2025.
In a statement issued this afternoon they said “Following an issue affecting voice calls yesterday, our services are now fully back to normal, apart from some localised issues related to Storm Éowyn. We are very sorry for any inconvenience it caused to our customers.”
Many users have reported on social media that in order to restore service they have needed to restart their phones.
