CVE Number – CVE-2018-16470

A vulnerability in Rack could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on a targeted system. The vulnerability is due to a resource exhaustion condition in the multipart parser of affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a custom request to the targeted system. A successful exploit could cause the parser to use an excessive amount of CPU resources, resulting in a DoS condition.Rack has confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.
