NuGet Package Manager Tampering Vulnerability [CVE-2019-0976]

A vulnerability in the Package Manager of NuGet could allow a local attacker to escalate privileges on a targeted system.The vulnerability exists because the affected software allows the modification of the intermediate build folder. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by accessing the system and modify the contents of the intermediate build folder on a targeted system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to escalate privileges and tamper with files that impact binaries on the targeted system.Microsoft has confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.
