A vulnerability in PHP could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to access sensitive information or cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on a targeted system.
The vulnerability exists in the _php_iconv_mime_decode() function, as defined in the php-src/iconv.c source code file of the affected software, and is due to improper memory operations that are performed by PHP. The vulnerability manifests as an out-of-bounds read memory error condition. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending requests that submit malicious input to the system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to access sensitive information or cause a DoS condition.
