BT Openreach malicious cable damage incident in Caxton

BT Openreach are reporting that earlier today (5th September 2019) they experienced a malicious network attack in the Caxton area of Cambridgeshire, with around 500 metres of cable cut and stolen, resulting in a number of customers losing service.

They have been taking steps to recover the situation and their engineers have been working hard to bring affected customers back into service as quickly as possible. They do not have an exact timeline for recovery, they expect to have restored services over the weekend.
