New Scanning Made Easy trial service from the NCSC and i100

he NCSC has introduced a new trial service that will release vulnerability scanning scripts to help organisations identify vulnerabilities on their networks.

Scanning Made Easy recognises that it can be difficult to find reliable scripts to help with this, even when proof of concept code is available. It will focus on scripts to identify the most critical vulnerabilities.

The first script is already available and identifies the Exim message transfer agent (MTA) remote code execution (RCE) vulnerabilities – and can be found on GitHub.

The launch of this trial service also reflects the valuable contribution of the NCSC’s Industry 100 (i100) scheme, as i100 partners have played an important role here writing the scripts that are released.
