Scam e-mails regarding Norton Protection Shield subscription

We have been made aware of the following scam e-mail regarding Norton subscriptions. The e-mail may appear to be from a Google Mail address (or other) and requests you call a telephone number for further information.

Do not call this number, this e-mail is a known scam.

The e-mail text reads :-

We are sending you this email to inform you that your annual subscription plan has expired as of today (February 17, 2023).
As you selected automatic debit, your PC services and Internet Protection Shield will automatically resume within 4 to 24 hours.
We are processing a service charge of (£349.99 + taxes) from the updated payment source; the charge will be reflect in the account statement shortly.
This is an annual recurring charge; unless you unsubscribe or cancel the service plan, the same amount will be deducted the following year on auto debit payment (February 16, 2024).
If you believe you did not authorize this charge or would like to opt out and receive a full refund, please contact us as soon as possible to avoid the recent transaction dispute.
