How to find a Windows 10 or 11 product key in the registry [RESOLVED]

A copy of your Windows 11 or Windows 10 product key is stored in your registry.

Open the registry editor – Press Windows key + R to open the run dialog box, enter “regedit” and hit Enter.

Click Yes if you get a User Account Control prompt.

Once the registry is open navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform

The code should be shown next to BackupProductkeyDefault
