Global Microsoft outage takes down Azure services (30-07-2024) LIVE Updates
Microsoft has today (30th July 2024) again been struck by another massive outage, this time affecting its Azure services. Users started reporting that they could not access a wide range of services that run on the Azure platform from just after 11am today. Microsoft engineers have investigated this problem under incident number MO842351 and have implemented a a fix and services appear to be working again.

This outage comes just over a week after a CrowdStrike update took out hundreds of thousands of Microsoft PC’s and servers.
Initially Microsoft reported that this issue was only affecting Europe :-
They later updated the status to say this was affecting all services globally.
It looks like Microsoft have implemented a fix as the latest update now states :-
Current Status: We have implemented networking configuration changes and have performed failovers to alternate networking paths to provide relief. Monitoring telemetry shows improvement in service availability, and we are continuing to monitor to ensure full recovery.
The monitoring website DownDetector seems to indicate problems may have started just after 11am toady
A number of Microsoft social media channels reported this issue.
