mySCADA myPRO Hard-Coded Credentials Remote Code Execution Vulnerability [CVE-2024-4708]

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of mySCADA myPRO.

Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.

The specific flaw exists within the telnet service, which listens on TCP port 5005 by default.

The issue results from the use of hard-coded credentials.

An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the service account.

mySCADA has issued an update to correct this vulnerability.
