Thousands of users report problems with Microsoft Azure services

Microsoft have issued the following update “Starting at approximately 16:00 UTC, we began experiencing DNS issues resulting in availability degradation of some services. Customers may experience issues accessing the Azure Portal. We have taken action that is expected to address the portal access issues here shortly. We are actively investigating the underlying issue and additional mitigation actions. More information will be provided within 60 minutes or sooner. Microsoft have confirmed the problem via their status page (https://azure.status.microsoft/en-gb/status) – “We are investigating an issue with the Azure Portal where customers may be experiencing issues accessing the portal. More information will be provided shortly. This message was last updated at 16:18 UTC on 29 October 2025“

Users are reporting issues accessing services hosted on Microsoft Azure. The problems started to be reported around 3.30pm (GMT) on Wednesday 29th October 2025.
At the time of publication of this story just over 6000 people have confirmed this issue via the DownDetector website. The Azure status page does not currently show any problems.
We have seen posts on forums that users are reporting problems in the USA and UK.
