Massive Cloudflare Network Breakdown Triggers Worldwide Internet Outages
Several websites that have their servers hosted on Cloudflare, which provides tools to protect them from cyberattacks and allows sites to load content more quickly amid heavy traffic, have found there sites are down and inaccessible today. Issues started just before 11.30am today.
Large sites such as OpenAI, Facebook, AWS (Amazon Web Services), bet365, Canva, Spotify, BrightHR and League of Legends also suffered outages, according to Downdetector.
Cloudflare said in a statement: “We are working to understand the full impact and mitigate this problem. More updates to follow shortly.”
Cloudflare is aware of, and investigating an issue which potentially impacts multiple customers. Further detail will be provided as more information becomes available.”
