TrendAI Apex One Incomplete Cleanup Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability (CVE-2025-71414)

This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of TrendAI Apex One Security Agent.
An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the TmccCore component.
The issue results from the lack of proper handling of process termination.
An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of root.
TrendAI has issued an update to correct this vulnerability.
